Here we are, I find myself describing this excellent compilation released by the very active label Boomerang Records.
It is a commendable and very appetizing box set with a double CD for an impressive total of 33 songs by as many Italian bands dedicated to the most diverse alternative sounds: punk, grunge, softcore, hardcore and more.
An epic undertaking, indeed, made even more challenging by the uneven artistic levels of the bands involved; it's clear and evident that some groups can be clearly placed a step above the others: great techno/hardcore for Pro9, a very interesting band, kickass punk rock by The Brilli and Prodotto Non Conforme, finely crafted hard speed rock by 7th Floor. Arriving towards the end of the first disc, however, one risks confusing the various sounds and groups, dazed by the stew of distortions and raucous voices, and so the second disc leaves you a bit exhausted... and so you start all over again, also noticing Radiazione and Outopsya, Leitmotiv, and Noise Keeper.
In short, I repeat, a valid release especially for the confirmation of some bands that never disappoint: The Brilli punk rock a step ahead of others, 7th Floor and Radiazione right behind, in excellent position the Grassiellenti and Everglade, Moewy and Into the baobab...
