Soundtracks are usually distinguished for two reasons: they either fit the film in question or they do not. In this case, the soundtrack is perfectly fitting for a film that, inspired by a comic, if not original, succeeds well in its primary purpose, which is to be dark, shadowy, and nocturnal.

The soundtrack, thanks to its illustrious contributors, undisputed heavyweights of Indie Rock, is at the same time dark, violent, and at times poetic just like the film.
And so we find the Cure with a track that could only belong to their repertoire, we find NIN with "Dead Soul," a song that is haunting for its beauty and at the same time simplicity. One of the most beautiful tracks is presented by the enormous RATM at their best with "Darkness." Worth noting is Mr. Henry Rollins who brings us a piece halfway between the Doors and metal. And then, there's still Helmet and Pantera filling our mortal ears with metal. Excellent song also by Violent Femmes who play with Psychedelic-darkish atmospheres. We also have the chance to relax and let ourselves be carried on the wings of an enormous crow, by Jane Sibery who closes with a hypnotic piece and a piano that, when you hear it and realize it's raining too, well, maybe we think a little about the Crow ourselves.
