“PLUS FROM US” is released alongside Peter Gabriel’s album “US,” obviously by Real World record label, a project initiated by Gabriel to showcase the talents of rather unknown composers and artists from all around the world alongside equally well-known singers.

It is an album for lovers of the Gabriel and progressive current expressly open to the thousand nuances desired by Gabriel in the pursuit of worldwide music, culture, and sound. The album starts with a grand piece

Obiero” sung (and all tracks are also written by the same singers) by Ayub Ogada (Kenya) exceeds six minutes, and the main point is Ogada’s voice, with a completely African rhythm, very warm and intense.

Keep on marching” – The Meters (USA), the only funky track and therefore criticizable not for its content, but because it somehow drifts from the main theme

Oasis” – Peter Hammill (UK) minimal instruments, a trumpet highlight, and Hammill’s voice provide the perfect image of a peaceful place like an oasis.

Pine tree & on the street” – Dmitri Pokrovsky Ensemble (Russia) a woman’s plaintive melody that captivates like a call from a distant land that culminates in a general choir of a folk celebration in a small town square.

Best friend, Paranoia” – William Orbit (UK) a style of total new age and contemplation that merges and explodes into an electronic rhythm, almost distorting the complete meaning

Lone bear” - Tony Levin (USA) the mythical Tony, a very dark and low progressive sound that sometimes doesn’t quite do justice to his renowned skill

Morecambe bay” – Alex Gifford (UK) one of the most impressive tracks, pure melody (goosebumps amazing), viola, cello, piano, clarinet, flutes chase each other with buoyancy

Down by the river” – David Rhodes (UK) is a complete surprise, voices, and expression of sound and the application of unlimited extendibility

Triennale”– Brian Eno (UK) a perfect reproduction of the natural environment for total relaxation and search for human essence

Rose Rhythm” Doudou N’Diaye Rose (Senegal) another culminating track of the album, once again reproducing the African natural environment with drum rolls and dancers’ choruses

Silence (remix)” Manu Katche (France) a track that clashes because it’s too commercial and trivial that fades from the main theme

Baladi we hetta” – Hossam Ramzy (Egypt) we have typical Egyptian percussion and accordion as a base creating the perfect setting

Dreams” – Shankar “N” Caroline – (India) a track with very strong references to the album “Passion,” impressive the way the male voice merges with the female and the flight of seagulls

Suheylà” – Kudsi Erguner (Turkey) very meticulous and somber too, this track has strong references to the album “Passion” (entirely flute)

El conquistador” – Daniel Lanois (Canada) a wonderful soft and atmospheric piece, purely musical, the electric guitar is reminiscent of some Pink Floyd tracks.

Therefore a good, totally relaxing listen … …
