There had been talk about it for quite some time and, to tell the truth, I too awaited the event with a strange anticipation, certainly not for the best pop, but mostly for the best rock and best alternative.

On Thursday, November 3rd, the wait was completely extinguished and strictly calmed. Starting from 8:00 PM, in fact, for the more refined palates, a dish was served with a picturesque name that said it all: "The Red Carpet Show," or small dialogues with the stars of the evening about their emotions (and the damn cold that was in Copenhagen). An hour, I must say, quite spartan that burned slowly. But finally, at 9:00 PM, the doors to the real show opened, which initially unnerved me, as I saw the infamous Justin Timberlake (one of the least liked singers by yours truly) emerge from the door, who surprisingly turned out to be an excellent presenter, a little shy, notably embarrassed by the nonsense coming out of Borat's mouth, the previous year's presenter (not in the studio), now threatened to death by Kazakhs, as he had made an irreverent film about their homeland. But that, my friends, is another story. The show, aside from this unexpected event, proceeds wonderfully, with great categories for great nominations presented by great personalities (worth mentioning Lars Ulrich, the drummer for Metallica). What surprised me was that the winners' tickets were held by the feet (or hands) of skillful contortionists, who deserve countless applause. Between one nominee and another, we moved to see well-curated live performances, with impressive plays of lights and colors. In my opinion, the most beautiful were those of the Killers (When you were young), with psychedelic light arrays surrounding the crisp sounds of the group, and that of Muse (Starlight, the most suitable piece for a live performance), where suddenly the band is covered by an electronic and swirling net born from the creativity of a mixer, truly ingenious. Worth noting is the appearance of Mr. Lordi, a true concentration of metal and ugliness (what do you expect, he was in makeup), who seemed truly strong to me. For those who don't know, he and his group won the Eurofestival. After a couple of hours, the show reaches its conclusion and all that's left is for me to tell you the winners in the categories. See you soon.
