The CD “La voce della solidarietà” was released today, a musical project that marks the launch of the record label linked to the portal www.lavocedelledonne.it
The proceeds from the CD will be donated to charity to Azione Musìca, a nonprofit association that aims to be socially active through music. The goal of this project is to build a kindergarten in the diocese of Matadi (Congo) and to implement a healthcare program focused mainly on AIDS prevention and treatment which includes continuous health monitoring of children, setting up clinics, distributing medicines, and training local healthcare staff.

The songs performed by the nine female artists who enthusiastically participated in this work are truly pleasant. Among the original tracks are the delicate “Gli occhi di Romeo” composed and performed by Mafalda Minnozzi, a young Italian artist at the top of the South American charts, which was also chosen as the soundtrack for the film “Lo casamento de Romeo e Julieta,” the intense “Vorrei” performed by Lorena Scaccia (a noted vocalist and singing teacher) with only piano accompaniment, “Libera la musica,” an original track inspired by the songs that accompany and mark our lives every day, well interpreted by Fiammetta who returns to the market after several years of absence, and “Resto sola,” the confession of a woman seeing her romantic relationship vanish, which revives one of the most talented and promising artists of the seventies: Rossella. Among the successful tracks, we can listen to the beautiful interpretations of the ever-popular “Il mare d’inverno” by Enrico Ruggeri, presented for the occasion by Silvia Conti, winner of Castrocaro 1983, and “Unchained melody” sung by Linda Lee (a former member of the Daniel Sentacruz Ensemble). This work is completed by “I Bambini di Napoli” composed and performed by Marina Barone, one of the most sensitive singer-songwriters on the Italian scene, the operatic “The shady dame from Sevilla” from the musical “Victor Victoria” masterfully performed by Emiliana Perina, and “L’istrione,” a famous Aznavour song in the passionate version by Sicilian singer Farida.

Inside the highly sought-after and very detailed cover, we can read a beautiful poem by Alberto Barina “L’anno senza fragole.” The CD can be purchased by sending an email to the portal, remembering that with the purchase, we can contribute to achieving the aforementioned goals. Enjoy listening.
