This compilation, "Kitsuné Maison" (in its second edition), may be new to many. It's an exquisite name found among the infinite realms of electronic music.
Interestingly, this production doesn't only feature electronics, but also includes brit-rock and '80s influences.

The dance opens with three brit-rock(pop) origin tracks: the first is a remix of "Woman" by Wolfmother, followed by another remix by Boys Noize of the famous Bloc Party single "Banquet", and closing the trio is "Poor Innocent Boys" by Cazals.
The fourth track is, in my opinion, more of an interlude but very pleasant, with "Lonely By Your Side" by Azzido Da Bass, well-rhythmed and with a calming guitar riff. Next is the planetary single by Joakim "Wish You Were Here", and from here we enter the electronic part of the compilation.

Then we move on to Digitalism with a truly beautiful remix balancing between minimal and electronic, "Jupiter Room", reaching the classic electronic with "Hustler" by Simian Mobile Disco featuring a nice synth rhythm, a "fake" 4/4, and a catchy female vocal that is sure to impress.
Track no. 8, in my humble opinion, is the masterpiece of the selection. The track is "Popper" by Christopher and Raphael Just with a very simple melody that will inevitably get stuck in your head, making you hum along. This song is also typically electronic, starting calmly, going into feedback, and then exploding with the famous tune over a synth backdrop that won't let you keep still.

Next is another remix by Todd Terje of Fox'n'Wolf, "Claws Against Knives", which nods to house while primarily electronic, with sounds that almost remind one of Alexander Robotnick.
Track no. 10 by Adam Sky "Ape-X" is perhaps the "grittiest" track of the album, trending towards Detroit techno with typical samples and pronounced synths.
With "Next Level Pope" by Popular Computer, we enter the closing part that loudly recalls the '80s, with this piece highlighting very minimal electronic parts typical of those years, but with the 2 tracks that close the album, "Celebral Tremolo" by Kaos and "Let Me Shoes Lead Me Forward" by Jenny Wilson, we return to the disco of the 1980s without the slightest influence of anything else, pure '80s.

A brilliant selection, perfectly at ease between past and present, enjoyable to listen to
given the great variety of themes it offers. The only issue, if you want to own Kitsuné Maison Compilation 2, will be finding it in stores. I would recommend it to any kind of listener who wants to hear something both tranquil and sophisticated.
