ENOUGH! I've started browsing De-Baser again for a few days, and while visiting fields of my interest, I've found the same unfortunate phrase everywhere: "Pseudo Punk for fake angry kids" (the variants are varied). As you can imagine, I found this phrase under bands like "The Offspring," "Sum 41," "Rancid," "NOFX," and others.

Now, I understand that you love the Sex Pistols, Ramones, Dead Kennedys, and The Clash, but it's time to stop. I love Punk and what derives from it, its more commercial trends (Sum 41, The Offspring) to the more angry ones (NOFX, Bad Religion, The Clash, Ramones, Sex Pistols, Dropkick Murphys). But, bottom line, I'm 14 years old, I don't hate my parents, I don't smoke or drink and certainly don’t do drugs, and yes, I hate the world we live in but I don’t want to kick it. Therefore, I'm not angry. But I listen to Punk.

So it's time to stop prejudging bands just because they don't make the kind of Punk you like. Not everyone who makes commercial Punk does it to sell, not everyone who makes Punk does it because they're so angry with the world...

A bit retrograde ideologies, don't you think? So please, I beg you, stop getting angry because others are not angry. Fight against House music and hate Tokio Hotel; don't waste time on causes worthy of the "flower child years"; music is changing under your feet, music that is awful to both me and you, let's be clear, but you are really behind.
