THE REVIEW

The Italians Valvola debuted with "Teenagers Film Their Own Life" for S.H.A.D.O RECORD back in 1997. I believe it was their only work, aside from various remixes and collaborations.

The old analog keyboards on the cover provide a clear hint of the sounds we will encounter on this journey organized by Valvola.

Using only vintage equipment, they bring to life a dreamlike psychedelic pop. Soft atmospheres, echoes, reverberations, remind us of the sounds that colored ITALIAN B MOVIES and SCI-FI MOVIES that have fallen into oblivion.

MORRICONE, UMILIANI, PICCIONI on a spaceship heading for the FORBIDDEN PLANET.

Futuristic Easy Listening.

SPACE AGE BATCHELOR PAD MUSIC played by a band that sprang from some old episode of DOCTOR WHO.

A bridge, a rainbow between a past sound and an imagined future. Like watching an episode of STAR TREK today.

Unique in the past Italian scene, close only to MIRABILIA. Affined with STEREOLAB, SEEEFEL, BROADCAST, SPACEMEN 3, DARKSIDE, LAIKA.

Highly recommended and enjoy your return to the past.
