The "Vacuum" are a Swedish group formed in the not-so-recent 1996. Their musical genre is a kind of symphonic electronic, very close to the settings of the '80s period. Their songs are very accessible (not for that reason to be labeled as commercial in the negative sense of the word) and in most cases can be associated with the pop singing style.

"Seance at the Chaebol" is their second work. This album was recorded in the studio in 1996 and contains songs that at the time were also radio hits:

- The album starts off strong with "Tonnes of Attraction", a captivating song accompanied by the beautiful voice of Mattias Lindblom, who sings on all the tracks in this album.

- The 2nd track, "Power", is one of the best, with a light electronic base that is very synth/pop, and female choirs reminiscent of ERA. Nonetheless, everything is very accessible and enjoyable.

- Tracks "3rd" to "5th" are perhaps slightly inferior, but the overall average of this album, in my opinion, is very high.

- The 6th track, "Satyricon", is accompanied by cellos and violins and other orchestra elements, all in a good mix.

- The 8th track is one of the radio hits of the period, "The Culture of Night", which has been covered by several DJs in heavier and alternative versions. A beautiful song with a rhythm section that isn't outdated.

- The last four tracks are very beautiful, always faithful to the "Vacuum" style, a style that you will be able to understand from the very first songs. Perhaps the only song on the album that seems much inferior to the others is "Big Ideas Grand Vision", but I believe that in a 12-song album, it's really a small flaw.

In conclusion, I recommend this album to all enthusiasts of '80s electronic and pop music. It will be an album that will continue to be one of your favorites for a long time to come.

05   Chant Like a Mantra (05:02)

When I can write the books I read
When I can paint landscapes I see
Get down and chant like a mantra
Chant like a mantra, chant like a mantra
Chant like a mantra, chant like a mantra
Chant like a mantra
Fly me higher

If I could climb the mountains high
If I could reach and touch the sky

Get down and chant like a mantra
Chant like a mantra, chant like a mantra
Chant like a mantra, chant like a mantra
Chant like a mantra
Fly me higher

One day I'll face, one day I'll find,
The mind behind this great design.
Get down and chant like a mantra
Chant like a mantra, chant like a mantra
Chant like a mantra, chant like a mantra
Chant like a mantra
Fly me higher

Go paint the scenes you see
Write down the words you hear
Live inside your dreams, go levitate, be clear.
Go climb the mountains high
Vake room for more designs
Reach out and touch the sky
The mind behind.

One day I'll write the books I read
One day I'll paint landscapes I see
'Til then I sing the sounds I hear
I levitate, my state is clear

(written by: Alexander Bard / Anders Wollbeck)

Chorus:
I breathe clouds beneath my window.
I see rockets in the sky.
I feel satellites in limbo.
I breathe oxygen up high.

I load lead inside my engine,
lead and alcohol.
On the radio depending
I sign the protocol.
Hail the audience, the media, peoples everywhere.
In the hours ahead I'll see your?

Green biosphere,
clean biosphere.
Castles in air
Climbing the stair,
way to heaven when?

Chorus

I've been trained to navigate my futurist balloon.
After years a week will see me landing on the moon.
Raise a banner on the planets,
life grows everywhere.
In the manner of the mission?

Green biosphere,
clean biosphere.
Castles in air
Climbing the stair,
way to heaven when?

Chorus

12   Science of the Sacred (03:48)
