The original Upa Dance are a group of singers born from the idea of the director of a television series, Un Paso Adelante, aired on Antena 3 in Spain. In the series, the Upa group was composed of Pedro, Lola, Silvia, Ingrid, Rober, and Jero, all of whom were dancers in the series. Pedro and Rober handled the dance, along with Silvia and Ingrid; then Lola and Pedro took care of singing, while Jero managed the audio mixing. The real Upa Dance group was born right at the end of the series, and the group members went on a tour that touched all the major Spanish cities. After recording this CD bearing their name and a DVD, they disbanded. To date, the actor who played the role of Rober, Miguel Angel Munoz, has revived the Upa group along with Elisabeth Jordan (Ely) and Edu del Prado (Edu), under the name Mam. Together, the three singers brought the new cd also named Upa Dance to success in Spain; they were also awarded a platinum record.

The tracks are all well-paced and conveniently arranged on the cd to connect one rhythm to the next: thus we have Once Again, followed by one of the group's best-known singles, Morenita; then follows Por Que Me Faltas Tú, the now famous Sambame, Me Siento Bien, Baila Morena, Dancing in the Street, Acuarius, I Got Life, Out Here on My Own, Meley Cabaret, and finally Upa Mix. They are all songs of excellent artistic level, performed very well by two highly trained singers and supported by an excellent technical level of sound.

In short, a CD to listen to, whether you believe it or not!
