THE REVIEW

Primitive and almost forgotten times.

"Vocapatch" represented the genuine flair of this project called Uochi Toki, by now listened to by dogs and pigs.

I must absolutely say that this is a raw diamond of musical Dadaism.

This album dares to unfold 31 tracks, 30 of which are represented by a particular symbol (e.g. "Whale", "Dead Rooster Lying Down", "Thermostat") and the only remaining one with a standard title ("Zarra Di Dio"); a little curiosity: Bugo was a special "mute" guest on a couple of tracks.

Very rapid tracks (often reaching a minute, sometimes not even) in a bloody alternation of non-Rap pieces with improbable reasoning and encapsulated nonsense, making their way with dissonant/confusionary electronic bases halfway between Power Electronics and Noise, and pieces of barbaric Hardcore Punk of cruel and shoddy production, reminiscent of the historic deeds of Italian groups such as Negazione and Nerorgasmo.

The experimentation with this rotation of styles will continue with the following self-titled album, reaching the absurd number of 81 untitled tracks.

They were really pissed off in 2003.

Summary by Bot

Vocapatch by Uochi Toki is an audacious and raw album that challenges conventional music with 31 rapid, mostly untitled tracks. The album blends elements of noise, power electronics, and hardcore punk to create a confusing yet compelling listening experience. It features a unique naming system for tracks represented by symbols and includes a special mute appearance by Bugo. The album stands as a testament to experimental Italian underground music in the early 2000s.
