The celestial confusion.

Ulaan Khol is Steven R. Smith (Hala Strana, Mirza, Thuja). II is a masterpiece. Eight tracks all centered on the distorted sound of a Telecaster, often accompanied by a noise backdrop, somewhat less by drums (present only in tracks 1 and 5) but the constant is a meditative, celestial, almost transcendent trance atmosphere. Demetrio Stratos spoke of monks who, through the exhausting repetition of the same prayer, would eventually "meet" their guide; in a certain sense, II could be the six-string translation of that prayer.

Just look at the cover, a blue glimpse in a gray background, consistent. The benevolent ascension to heaven of this noise with the purpose of sweeping away all gray impurities and sad torments that a confused state can lead to.

II feels of forgiveness, of purification, I would gladly listen to it in a church or perhaps in the thermal baths, in favor of eliminating evil, whether it be a sin or a toxin. Therapeutic.
