Hellooo, I'm back again to talk about a work that's been described many times, but I don't really care because I still want to give my personal opinion on a spectacular piece by Nonno Udo and this war machine and Animal House.
The album was released back in 1987 and Udo, who had just left Accept, started his career with his new band in the best way possible with a concentrated disc of pure metal and quite spectacular and enjoyable from start to finish.
The war begins with the very unique and captivating Animal House, which in my opinion is very nice, moving on to the fantastic and compelling Go Back To Hell, which I love and at times seems reminiscent of the legendary Losers And Winners from Balls To The Wall and the journey has just begun and the real enjoyment is yet to come.
They Want War represents Udo's thoughts on war in general and on children who are forced to fight at a young age with a rifle bigger than them, what can I say, EPIC, but then we move on to Black Widow, another great track, which feels like a flurry of bullets hitting you in the stomach, and so far, great enjoyment, gentlemen...
The following In The Darkness is a pause in Udo's melody and very appreciable, but this is only a small PIT STOP because then we get to Lay Down The Law, We Want It Loud, and my favorite, Hot Tonight, which in my opinion expresses the essence of Heavy Metal, but again, it's my very personal opinion and thought.
We continue with Warrior and the very fast Coming Home, both fast and sharp, and we close with the cheerful Run For Cover, which from the choruses almost seems like a track from an album I had heard from the equally great Judas Priest.
I conclude by saying that this is one of the albums to have, and I think that after just one listen, you realize the beauty and simplicity with which Udo, without overdoing it, allows those who obviously love the band in question to enjoy and spend an hour in the company of great music, which often helps us overcome bad moments and sometimes, I repeat, makes you want to conquer the world!!!
Greetings from Alexandrino YEAHHH!!!
