There are few bands outside of hard rock and metal that evoke emotions in me, and among them are the very commercial U2, even though I know that with this statement I have signed my own sentence. But for me, music must evoke emotions—silly, good or bad—or remind me of certain moments. After this necessary premise, let's talk about the bootleg.

This bootleg of the live at San Siro on July 21, 2005 is divided into two CDs. Let's start by talking about the first CD. After the "INTRO," the first song is the very famous "Vertigo", which features audience participation with Bono's words to open the concert "Hello, Hello ciao Milano!". After this song, which reconnected the old fans to U2, it opens with "I Will Follow", one of the most beautiful songs by the Irish band, followed by a mediocre song like "Electric Co.", which is followed by "Elevation", introduced by Bono's phrase "Last night, the first date... tonight we make love!", and then "Sexy diva Milan, Bono Bono sexy person" where Bono and co. have fun engaging the audience while the initial chord is repeated for a bit, followed by the true participation of the audience in the word "E-L-E-V-A-T-I-O-N" and when he sings the chorus where you can feel all the warmth of San Siro. This is followed by another beautiful song "New Year's Day"; at the initial riff, you can feel the whole audience participating vigorously. Then comes the very commercial "Beautiful Day" where Bono seems to have a voice drop, and here everything seems calmer, with "But I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" the audience and Bono fully connect, and the entire audience repeats the title of the song. After another mediocre song like "All Because Of You" comes another beautiful piece like "City Of Blinding Lights" where Bono regains the voice that had slightly dropped in the previous pieces. The ending is a succession of mediocre pieces like "Miracle Drug", "Sometimes You Can't Make It On" dedicated to Bono's late father and "Love And Peace Or Else". This mediocrity is interrupted by Bono when he says "I see the sea how beautiful it is... it inspires so many feelings".

The second CD is an alternation of mediocre and beautiful pieces and opens with the U2 protest song and flagship "Sunday Bloody Sunday" dedicated to Bloody Sunday in Belfast in 1971 where the police killed peaceful protesters. Then there are the mediocre ones "Bullet The Blue Sky" and "Miss Sarajevo" dedicated to the Bosnian city of Sarajevo bombed by the Serbs during the war in the former Yugoslavia, and here Bono sings a few lines in Italian. Then comes the moment for the beautiful "Pride (In The Name Of Love)" another iconic song of the band that takes us back to the early U2, followed by the other gem "Where The Streets Have No Name", before starting the splendid (and commercial) ballad "One" Bono gives a speech for world peace addressed to the powerful of the Earth (Bush, Blair, Berlusconi) and against world hunger in Africa, then the song begins. Then there are the mediocre "Zoo Station", "The Fly" and then the other beautiful song "With Or Without You"; after yet another mediocre song like "Yahweh", the concert is closed with "Vertigo" to appease the audience.

This concert is mediocre, firstly because it is a bootleg and secondly because U2 could have avoided certain pieces and made the concert a bit shorter.

To those who hate or dislike U2, I only ask to give a rating to my review...

I would also like to improve my future reviews if possible.
