After facing some issues related to Bono's health that led to the cancellation of the American leg, U2 are resuming their "360 Tour" right in Turin; after spending 10 days rehearsing and being spotted, the four from Dublin finally make their appearance on The Claw, the stage (which looks more like a spaceship) that is the largest ever used for a concert.

The entrance is not one of those epic ones like during the ZooTv-era or the Popmart Tour; while Bono walks along the circular catwalk, the rest of the band starts playing a very rock and engaging intro that literally ignites the 50,000 in Turin; the show kicks off with a hit from the 2000s, "Beautiful Day", followed by the band's most famous pieces, drawn from both present and past, thereafter, as already previously announced, U2 play two unreleased songs, one acoustic and another more rockish, which are pleasantly listenable.

There aren't major setlist changes, the songs played are the usual old hits from the past and the successful singles of the last decade (City Of Blinding Lights and Vertigo above all), but there are surprises: halfway through the concert, a Bono in great shape sings the splendid "Miss Sarajevo", complete with Italian verses and final high note, followed by the electrifying "Until The End Of The World".

Another big novelty is the replacement of "Ultraviolet" (played last year) with "Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me", an old 90s success, which then gives way to the classic "With or Without You" and "Moment Of Surrender", a melancholic song from their latest album, and so the concert closes.

The disappointment for the not-so-thrilling setlist was surely wiped away by the grace of the four Dubliners, particularly Bono, who at 50 years old gives us a formidable performance, avoids his long sermons (spared us the plea to Berlusconi), and delivers an evening full of emotions, together with the rest of the band, as always impeccable.

The impression is that we have witnessed a truly epic concert, a perfect mix of great songs flawlessly played and a spectacular stage design that, despite the immense structure, the lights, the maxi screens, etc., manages not to be too invasive and allows the Irish group to perform at their best; it is truly incredible that after more than 30 years of work, U2 manage to be so full of energy and desire to play, long live Bono & Co., may they continue to give us thousands of emotions at this level!
