Blurryface.

Fast and powerful beats, a handful of electronics accompanying Reggae melodies and fantastic riffs ranging from Rap to Alternative Rock. This is the recipe for the fresh Blurryface by the American duo "Twenty One Pilots". The album, one of the best in recent years (in my opinion), is a very modern mix of madness. The opening track "Heavydirtysoul" is proof of this, with its incredibly energetic fast Rap. The second track "Stressed Out", ideal as the first single, is an interweaving of R&B and Electropop music from which hard Rap sounds emanate. This is followed by the energy of Reggae/Pop in the album's second single, "Ride", a track simply unique for its simplicity, making it anything but banal. After the integralist Rap of the track "Fairly Local", comes the Rock that is more than noteworthy in the track "Tear In My Heart" which combines Beatles-like simplicity with a characteristic and futuristic sound that accompanies us throughout the listening, particularly in the alternative "Doubt". "Polarize" is instead one of the best tracks of the entire album where I had the pleasure of hearing one of the best vocal performances of the whole album. Then comes the carefree "We Don't Believe What's On TV", which literally left me speechless with its very rhythmic acoustic beginning that even brought me back to the Country music of the past. Impressive, however, is the album's closing with the tracks "Not Today" and "Goner". The latter starts with a slow and sad piano that accompanies the singer's soft voice and is the ideal track to close the work. That said, the only tracks that did not convince me are "Hometown" and "Message Man", which, however, do not stand out in an album that is globally very good and above all full of creativity and experimentation. As for the song lyrics, very interesting, deep, and emotional themes were addressed. I can therefore say that this album indicates the direction that somewhat dated musical genres like Reggae or Rock will take, renewing and modernizing themselves accompanied by new electronic, Pop, and Indie melodies and new Rap rhythms.
