LA RECENSIONE

False modesty in the title?! In fact, we cannot think that this CD serves as the soundtrack for the monotonous use of an elevator... as beautiful as it may be.

Because in "Elevator Music" we find a lot of good electronic music and more.
It's no coincidence that they are produced by Munich's Compost, the pioneering nu-jazz label.

But Rainer Trüby does not live on jazz alone. Or at least not anymore. Soul, Latin ("Jaleo"), Afrobeat ("Make a Move"), Brazilian ("Runnin") all contribute to making this album a truly noteworthy work that goes beyond the confines of an elevator to touch the corners of the globe in a continuous search for inspiration that the group leader seems to have embarked upon precisely with this record.
