No, they are not some clone of Jethro Tull, and with this, let's clear up any misleading comparisons right away.
Paris, April 13, 1971, the year of the release of the only LP (Futura Records) of this French band "On NA Pas Fini D'Avoir Tout Vu"
An LP hard to find, practically an extinct dinosaur in its original version.
For those who might be interested in the genre, I would feel inclined to recommend the reissue, still on vinyl, on the SouffleContinu Records label.
But let's get to the genre, and here you could really let your imagination run wild as you can read all sorts: Prog, Prog/Rock Jazz, Pop/Jazz/Underground, Instrumental, Groovy, and so on.
One thing, however, more or less unites everyone, and certainly myself, namely INSTRUMENTAL, as expected, but above all GROOVY.
They have been compared to well-known groups primarily, as already mentioned, due to the flute, such as Jethro Tull, Focus, Caravan, Circus (the ones with Mel Collins), and even Yezda Urfa, with a dash of psychedelia due to the at times furious presence of the guitar (Absence of keyboards)
Instead, I am very happy to find that personally, at least, I don't find connections unless you forcefully look for them with these groups, but they simply remain themselves, a small delightful hidden gem all to be discovered, listen after listen.
P.S. Just for the sake of it... if they really remind me of someone, and I don't even know why, which is the strange thing, but it's fine all the same, I can only think of the very first Sweet Smoke from Just A Poke, their first and for me only LP, even if they seem to have made a couple more.
