Today I am about to review a very personal CD that has been “assembled” with perfect care and precision, as always, and given to me by a great friend who, like me, loves music as an essential source of daily life and a true expression of emotional value. Sometimes I listen to it and re-listen to it repeatedly because it is simply wonderful, and I brought it to DeBaser to thank briciola for this beautiful gift and to let people know about Albums that are truly worth having in one's collection. Daughter Darling- SWEET SHADOWS-“ Broken Bridge” this song is like a concentration of vital essence, the sweet voice and the undertone float like the fluttering of a wonderful butterfly's wings among the piano keys and the sheets of scores flying away Nine Horses-SNOW BORNE SORROW-“ Darkest Birds” what more can I say about my Sylvian than what I have said since I've been in Debaser, the rhythm of this track is like a wave rising and then plunging headlong into the sway of a desolate and infinite sea, it is the dream of a charismatic master of the soul Archive-YOU ALL LOOK THE SAME TO ME-“ Goodbye” a lullaby to soothe a sweet creature that gazes into your eyes, and everything focuses on a calm voice that reassures Porcupine Tree-DEADWING-“ Lazarus” a huge personal carousel where it is inevitable to let yourself be carried away by the memories that fade away on the train heard at the end of the song The Polyphonic Spree-THE BEGINNING STAGES OF… . -“ Days Like This Keep Me Warm” it's like feeling the heart pulse in the palm of your hand, bells, flute, and so much harmony in the voices that chase the instruments in a crystalline dream. I love this song. Starsailor-LOVE IS HERE-“ Love Is Here” a sweet walk by the sea at sunset on an autumn day and seeing on the horizon a few cold and trembling seagulls Beth Orton-DAYBREAKER-“ Paris Train” a very expressive, open, and very sunny voice, seasoned with piano, violins, cellos, and classical guitar Mojave 3-EXCUSES FOR TRAVELLERS-“ When You’re Drifting” and here the main effect is given by the trumpet and the guitar that accompany you on a relaxed journey through times that were and will never return Antony And The Johnsons-I AM A BIRD NOW- “ Man Is A Baby” song and Album are stratospheric, I love his voice and his way of communicating, there is no more angelic voice than Antony's full of epidermal sensory expression, his charisma, has no equal in his genre, songs are like open and bloody wounds, violins, piano, pain, darkness, suffering and so much pathos Badly Drawn Boy-ABOUT A BOY-“ Donna & Blitzen” a track with an entrance of sparkling violins of a piano … . and many Christmas bells playing with light drums and much jovial harmony Mogwai-ROCK ACTION “ Dial: Revenge” a sun that warms the soul, voices, and instruments have a hypnotic and explosive charge Longview-MERCURY-“ Further” this piece is full of love enclosed in a cage that cries for revenge, it desires its rightful place The Notwist-NEON GOLDEN- “ Consequence” already at the first notes you start to dance, rhythmic, intimate, and confidential ballad Polly Paulusma-SCISSORS IN MY POCKET-“ Dark Side” guitars and tambourines accompany a gentle and sweet voice to spend a few carefree minutes lying in a field of blooming poppies Ed Harcourt-HERE BE MONSTERS-“ God Protect Your Soul” with a stealthy step, the pink panther sneaks around very suspiciously, it is a warm and enveloping track like a local tango Cousteau-SIRENA-“ Hungry Times” based on a trumpet, a deep voice, a full moon and a slow unforgettable. I would say that there are sixteen tracks all to be truly lived, if you do not have these Albums, give it some thought. . . . . . Thank you briciola, immense soul. . . . .
