THE REVIEW

The Tool concert in Rome was an event eagerly anticipated by many for several years, and when such an event materializes, you just can't miss it. Precisely for this reason, I rushed to buy the tickets and was ready for the big show. However, a week before the concert, the bad news came that due to technical problems, the show would be moved from the Centrale Del Tennis (therefore outdoors with excellent acoustics) to the Palaghiaccio Di Marino (indoors with acoustics that calling it "crappy" is a compliment). Then, additional problems arose for me, casting some serious doubt on my presence at the Palaghiaccio, but fortunately, I did manage to go in the end. I arrived there at 9:10 PM, and cars were even parked on the highway. With a great stroke of luck, I even found a spot inside, and so after buying a nice T-shirt from the "10,000 Days World Tour 2006," I was ready for the show. I entered, and the Palaghiaccio was not yet full, so I easily found a seat.

After a 45-minute wait, the show began with the introductory "Lost Keys" and then immediately "Rosetta Stoned," which lasts almost a quarter of an hour. Then their big hit "Stinkfist" follows right away, and the audience greatly appreciates it as everyone sings along and enjoys the show to the fullest. If I'm not mistaken, "Forty-Six And 2" and "Jambi" followed, and slowly the show continued without interruptions. Tool also played "Lateralus," "Sober," "Schism," "Right In Two," "Aenima," and "Vicarious." The audience seemed to have enjoyed the show quite a bit; however, when the "band" left the stage, everyone expected them to return to conclude the show with a song like "Parabola" or another one; but instead, they didn't, leaving everyone a bit disappointed.

Anyway, the show was definitely more than adequate, despite the acoustics being truly awful. P.S.: But wasn't it written on the posters that it was TOOL + Special Guest? Do you know why there was no supporting act????

Summary by Bot

The Tool concert in Rome was highly anticipated and delivered a strong performance featuring key hits from their catalog. Despite being moved indoors to a venue with poor acoustics and the lack of a promised special guest, the audience enjoyed the show. The setlist included classics like "Rosetta Stoned," "Stinkfist," and "Lateralus." However, the absence of an encore left some fans feeling disappointed.
