"New World Disorder" is a great album, where we find the desire to dare typical of those who still have everything to play for, and solutions capable of attracting a large segment of listeners. But let's start from the basics, that is from Tonight We Stand, a young Venetian band that has reached the long-awaited recording debut via This Is Core. "A personal vision of society and human weaknesses, such as depression, anger, pain..." this is how they describe their recording debut, and indeed the contrast of emotions is perceived loud and clear within their tracks which, starting from a purely "core" base, evolves through old-school crystalline riffing, impactful melodic parts (highlighted by the clean vocal parts of drummer Alessandro Murello), and more metal-oriented parts. Tracks like "Phobia" and "Gates Of Hell" are crystal clear examples of what has just been said in terms of quality. That said, there are still points to work hard on in the future, primarily focusing more on a specific style without ending up in the "too much," as in "Hollowgrams," which, between keyboards and rap parts, turns out to be quite poor as a track. Lending a hand to the band was Lucas D'Angelo of Betraying The Martyrs, who did more than honorable work on the mixing. If you are used to testing new releases made in Italy in an alternative key, this could be a pleasant surprise!
