Tiromancino is a group that couldn't find the right path until 2000, the year of their breakthrough with "la descrizione di un attimo" (a good part of the album is also the work of Sinigallia). I think almost everyone got to know Zampaglione and co. thanks to the hit of the same name, due destini, strade, etc... few (unfortunately) are familiar with their past; if you found Zampaglione and his melodies suitable for a suicide, you might change your mind.
Let's talk a bit about Rosa Spinto, their fourth studio work. This album stands between the alternative rock of "alone alieno" and the pop rock of "la descrizione..". Featuring melodies definitely more catchy than its predecessor, with that touch of electronics\trip hop that characterized the band's early style. However, there are numerous experiments and style changes that make the mix of sounds even more captivating, such as "dying again" or the drum 'n bass of "ami mai" and "profondo rosa".
As with the previous ones, the work finds inspiration from American indie bands in the psychedelic style of Jane's Addiction, while not fully imitating them and, in fact, making the work as personal as possible (see "il tiranno"); in short, another nice change of direction after the previous ones, difficult to categorize; because labeling "rosa spinto" as "pop rock" is indeed too simplistic.
There's funk, there's techno, DnB, pop, trip hop and more, in short... a little underrated gem. Try listening to the origins of Tiromancino and maybe you won't sleep anymore.
