Tina Arena releases a Greatest Hits album celebrating her over thirty-year career, and among other duets, she includes a collaboration that marks an important musical comeback. The duet in “Sorrento Moon,” a classic from Tina's career in the 80s, is re-sung in this new version alongside Dannii Minogue, who returns to the pop music scene after years of silence with her Australian colleague.
The two music stars have known each other since the 80s, when they were famous together on the show Young Talent Time and had already sung together on that program; now, nearly 40 years later (three good decades have passed), the two colleagues and close friends revisit a classic by Tina Arena and include it in this compilation. The duet is the most important of the project, a ballad modified with modern effects, featuring truly beautiful voices, and the Minogue imprint is very evident.
“Sorrento Moon” is a pop song that allows Dannii Minogue (Kylie's sister) to return to the music world after several years of artistic pause; Dannii had been inactive since 2008 with her fifth studio album “Clubdisco” and in 2013 with her “The Very Best of Dannii Minogue.”
In short, while waiting for the highly anticipated new studio album by Dannii Minogue (coming very soon), we enjoy this duet with its pop and poignant atmosphere, perfect for romantic evenings in front of a seaside sunset.
