THE REVIEW

The name Symphonic Power Metal, which in recent years has been truly overused, finds its perfect embodiment in the Swedish group "Timeless Miracle". After playing for several years under the name "Trapped", releasing 3 self-produced demos, they finally released in 2005 an album with a capital A, which with its powerful and medieval rhythms, the wide use of violins and folk instruments in perfect Elvenking style, and the extremely evocative lyrics that tell us dark and fascinating stories of vampires, werewolves, witches, and paganism, can safely be classified as one of the best chapters in the history of symphonic metal of all time.

The album opens with the dark and mystical intro of the song "The Curse Of The Werewolf", one of the most valuable tracks of the album that soon transforms into a very fast melodic power stamp piece that tells us about the curse of a man doomed to turn into a wolf on full moon nights, and with an aggressive yet graceful rhythm, it quickly leads us to the irresistible chorus, and the magnificent final choir, immediately followed by the second track, "Witches Of Black Magic", another aggressive piece dominated this time by the Celtic-like rhythm of the violin in the background, a not exceptional but extremely enjoyable track that winks at the Italian Elvenking, leading us to the 3rd track, the title track "Into The Enchanted Chamber", another pearl of melodic metal with an irresistible chorus, which talks about the ancient pagan belief of rebirth after death through the enchanted chamber in an endless cycle of death and rebirth, and the artists' desire to pay tribute to those ancient beliefs that (at least in my opinion) are certainly better than ours.

The 4th track, "The Devil", opens with an inspiring keyboard intro that develops into an inspired piece where the singer Mikael impersonates the devil and speaks of his resentment towards the one who gave him an unjust and excessive punishment, resentment that leaks from the masterful chorus and the beautiful final part of the song. The 5th track, "The Red Rose", presents itself as a classic power piece in the Gamma Ray style to enjoy in one breath, a wonder of great power and moving lyrics, talking about the sorrows of a man deprived of the woman he loves without ever being able to say goodbye, suddenly seeing her again in a dream, and waking up feeling her presence beside him without seeing anyone, thus living forever in the uncertainty of having seen her for the last time... "A Minor Intermezzo" the 6th track, is a medieval harpsichord-esque interlude, which introduces the 7th, "Return Of The Werewolf", definitely the most violent track of the album, which, thanks to the masterful vocal interpretation of Mikael Host, (in my opinion, one of the greatest vocalists of the metal scene) who with his particular and amazing vocal timbre manages to perfectly render the horrific atmosphere of this amazing second song about the werewolf, and the tragic end of Little Red Riding Hood is absolutely one of the best tracks on the album. The 8th track, "Memories", is a decent melodic ballad about the passage of time and memory, giving us a moment of pause before the last tracks of the album, the 9th "The Gates Of Hell", a wild power dance about the escape from hell supported by the great mastery of Nina Christensen's violins, with a frenetic rhythm and a very catchy irresistible chorus, the 10th track "Down To The Gallows", is a power piece with a tavern atmosphere, focused on drinking beer, and the 11th track "The Dark Side Forest", is the last medieval interlude, before the last magnificent track of this great album, the 12th piece, the wonderful suite of almost 15 minutes "The Voyage", a masterpiece divided into 8 parts with sudden and constant tempo changes, guiding us through the adventure of a vampire sailing for the "New World" up to the last memorable verse full of atmosphere that impeccably bids us farewell.

So in summary "Into The Enchanted Chamber" is an almost perfect album, with practically no flaws, which any fan of the most symphonic and epic variations of metal cannot absolutely miss!!
