I wasn't ready for something like this, I could never have imagined that I would be so taken aback. When you listen to a band's first album, you do it calmly, with your guard down, with an attitude like: let's see what these rookies have got...  .. .. ..   .. .. ..  ... .. .. Rookies, my ass! I'd say! This record is a masterpiece, one of those that brings together people with different tastes, not because it's varied, but because it's mind-blowing. I am convinced that everyone who feels music as a friend, a confidant, a companion of adventures will be struck by this album and will try to recreate their moments of intimacy with it... okay, we're talking about Sludge, mud, okay the mud is slippery, it's dirty, it's unhygienic, and who would want to be intimate with mud? No one, obviously! But this mud is moving, it shines.

This is a process that doesn't happen often, so it needs to be isolated and thoroughly studied, worked on to understand where it came from, how, why, and what kind of emotions it can give us for the future, but for now, let's just follow it and keep an eye on it, hoping it doesn't vanish into thin air...

Resurface, six tracks, three that make a lot of noise and three minor only in duration, not in intensity. It opens with "Resurface", a great impact, twelve minutes that start to alert you, scratching guitars... but not a regular scratch, like a cat's or someone who plays classical guitar, a scratch from a woman who has just had 4 multiple orgasms and you can feel them all down your back...

Follows "By The Droves", pleasant guitar riffs intertwined with small background effects that prepare you for the arrival of (this time) eleven absolute minutes, beyond, ahead, charismatic, introspective, cultured, probably the most touching piece of the album, with "Aurora" you move from a state of alert to one of panic, panic because it knocks you out and you don't know what to do, and at that point, you let go, it's too late, you've been conquered, but you like it because it's unexpected, it's a thrill, immense joy, it's post, and you can't take it anymore and start making real-time comments like: WOOWOWOWOWOOOOW, AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, MINKIA and other various sounds and exclamations...

Not even the time to understand what the hell emotions you're experiencing and "Sirens Fade" arrives to confuse your ideas, to stun you with clean-sounding guitar riffs and a half cello, the effect is that of a total anesthesia, you're there lying on the couch, you're giving in while doing the countdown, four, thrree, t-two, oo... and BOOM!!!! Here "Wash Away" explodes, making you regain consciousness, jump out of bed and run away because, in reality, you're fine, another track over ten minutes that makes you reflect on the potential of this group. It closes with "The Other Shore", a finale that if you listen to the album without knowing the number of tracks, makes you understand that it's wrapping up, because it slowly separates from you, but in a sweet way, leaving you hopeful...
