THE REVIEW

What are words for when you have the ability to write poetry with muddy notes. A suggestive dirtiness, decadent, yet tremendously emotional.

From Silence is an EP of only 20 minutes, released by Modus Operandi, and is the second work of the Rhode Island band, after the beautiful debut album "Resurface".

The sound they manage to produce is stealthy, it silently enters the soul and dirties a little everywhere, where there are happy memories but also bad moments and it leaves a mark, its filthy trail, which remains inside and transforms into consciousness, it is the perfect soundtrack for reflection on a failure, it's not the height of optimism but everything is built with great class, listen to "The Sight" to believe. "Unveiled" gives the impression of being a theme from a spy film, with a stoner instead of the usual Agent 007, meditating on how to screw the guy from the drugstore. The EP closes with a marching yet sweet cherry on top of a prune cake, we always go back there, everything sucks but everything has been prepared with a lot of competence accompanied by enormous talent, though pessimistic, the eleven minutes of "In Their Arms" represent anger, the desire to turn a nightmare into a dream, the strength to move forward even if there are only vast expanses of darkness ahead.

The Tides are four virtuoso sewer rats, worthy of a listen, it's only twenty minutes.... and remember, mud is an element that leaves a mark!
