"One day maybe we'll meet again," declared Jared Leto in the previous and excellent "This Is War," and finally, here he is back at the helm of his Mars with a new work, released last May 21st: "Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams."

The album is a concept that develops around the four themes of the title, each of which is announced by a female voice, dividing the album into as many sections: the part dedicated to love includes "Birth" and "Conquistador," the one dedicated to lust ranges from "Up in The Air" to "Pyres of Varanasi," while the theme of faithfulness is enclosed between "Bright Lights" and the instrumental "Convergence," ready to guide us to the last section, which includes "Northern Lights" and "Depuis Le Debut."

The album gathers many influences, ranging from the chart-topping pop/rock of the first single to sweet U2-style ballads like the splendid "City of Angels," without forgoing experimental tracks like the semi-instrumental "Pyres of Varanasi," which transports us directly to India, or the very unique "Depuis Le Debut," opened by Leto's rough vocals accompanied by an acoustic guitar that soon gives way to symphonic strings and a music box melody.

All in all, a very varied and eclectic album, which takes the listener on a journey suspended between dream and reality, entertaining and intriguing: well done, Mars.
