Is this really the Italian indie music?

Exactly when did banality make its way into even the most sacred music?

Let's think carefully, why is the underground scene becoming marketable too?

For a few years now, they've been trying to push a completely local new wave/singer-songwriter scene on us.

Ah, and it's not Brunori SAS or Dente ruining those who are truly aiming to be purely DIY.

All those who pretend to be niche and then sell out to the first major label.

And even those who, though their early records would have you shout miracle, then let themselves be willingly manipulated.

These are the real bane of Italian music, those who overshadow those who truly deserve it.

An album like Fuoricampo reeks of garbage, even beforehand, from the band's name: Thegiornalisti.

They were praised for no reason, they are as pathetic as Ligabue or Vasco Rossi, it makes no sense.

Lackadaisically appealing to hipsters and those who think a concert is just singing in place of the ones on stage.

They exactly revive 80s Synth Pop and New Wave.

While others who have been trying to break through for years are stuck chasing gigs at village fairs.

Envy is a terrible thing, right? Maybe, but the mistake is all ours and those who listen to them.

Stealing, knowing they're stealing but without evolving the sound towards experimentation that would benefit the movement.

Let's hate them and dissociate because only then can we go back to loving our Pizza or Spaghetti Sound.
