Italian underground noise-rock collective featuring members of Dead Elephant and Morkobot, combining violent riffs, pounding drums, baritone sax and experimental noise textures.

Line-up mentioned in reviews: Enrico Tauraso (vocals, guitar), Alain Lapaglia (drums), Alessandro Cartolari (baritone sax). Released the album Unsavory Impurities (2023).

Two DeBaser reviews praise The Turin Horse for extreme ferocity, dense noise textures and inventive songwriting. The project features members of Dead Elephant and Morkobot and adds baritone sax to a sludge/noise-rock core. Critics recommend the 2023 album Unsavory Impurities and the earlier omonimo release.

For:Fans of intense noise rock, sludge, mathcore and experimental underground music.

They're two but sound like a legion of demons, and in terms of heavy music, I don't think I've ever heard anything like this, especially since they're not from New York but from Turin.

For those who loved Dead Elephant and Morkobot, but also experimental Italian bands like Zu and Mombu, this is a sure bet, and I can only say “you must” listen (as if it were an imposition) to this explosive debut by The Turin Horse, who have really hit the mark with “Unsavory Impurities”.
