Unknown to most until today, The Truth come out with "You Are The Sound You Make," a sort of anthem to the more commercial and trendy side of modern pop-rock. Their proposal is captivating and seems to care little about the easy criticisms that will soon pour in from more conservative listeners, an attitude that is somewhat courageous, if we're being honest.

Experimenting with full hands seems to be the motto of the Piedmont project: take pop-rock from radio charts and combine it with the commercial electronics very much in vogue across the ocean; add to it a highly melodic voice that, with its catchy choruses, captivates you after just a few listens and the game is done... They've won. They win for the ease with which they put together a couple of classic riffs on commercial bases à la Avicii, resulting in a pleasant sound, which is no small feat in certain contexts. But who is behind the name The Truth? Here's the big surprise: we find Fabrizio Pan, the voice of the Piedmontese Melody Fall, who sought new stimuli by opening new doors. A sort of side project, then, started in 2007 and only today coming into the light. Some tracks contained in "You Are The Sound You Make" were written years ago and rearranged nowadays in the artist's personal studio.

Since this is a solo album in all respects, one wonders what will become of it in a live setting, considering it has several songs that, in my opinion, are suitable for that kind of context. The lyrics broadly retrace the salient moments of life such as the pursuit of happiness and love, then reaching more social themes. In conclusion, The Truth, although undoubtedly a kind of hobby for Fabrizio, have some noteworthy cards up their sleeve, primarily the ease with which they churn out potential singles. Are we sure it will remain just a side project?! We'll see!
