LA RECENSIONE

Kristian Matsson is only one meter seventy tall and he is Swedish. He loves Bob Dylan and it shows.

With his second album, released last April, The Tallest Man on Earth has proven to be one of the musicians I loved and listened to the most throughout 2010.

"The Wild Hunt" is indeed a short album, but full of emotions up to the last song. Kristian guides us by hand through 10 completely acoustic tracks, played à la "Freewheelin", enchanting us with his raspy voice and carrying with us a light underlying melancholy, without ever boring or saddening too much, only to end the short journey with a poignant piano ballad "Kids On The Run".

But why do I love this album so much, not original at all, let's admit it, and talk about it so little?

Listen to it and you'll understand.

Summary by Bot

The Tallest Man On Earth's second album, 'The Wild Hunt', is a short but emotionally rich collection of acoustic tracks. Kristian Matsson's raspy voice and folk influences create a light melancholy throughout the album, culminating in a touching piano ballad. Despite its lack of originality, the album captivates listeners with sincerity and depth.
