The Stems are an Australian garage rock/power pop band formed in Perth in 1983, led by Dom Mariani. They released key singles and the album At First Sight Violets Are Blue during the 1980s, split in 1987 and later reformed.

Formed in Perth in 1983. Dom Mariani is the principal songwriter and a central figure. Debut album At First Sight Violets Are Blue dates to 1987. From The Vault is a compilation of singles, EPs and rarities from 1983–1987; a 2010 circulation of From The Vault was issued by the Roman label Teen Sound (as noted in the DeBaser review).
