Surprise! The Runner are back. On July 5, their new album Unbreakable will be released, and we had the chance to listen to it in advance and chat with Dmitrij Fruci before a concert.

Unbreakable is a work that deserves credit for being a cohesive album, even though musical genres blend from song to song. The 11 tracks mastered on the band's fifth CD are all cute and catchy. On the first listen, ballads like "Overdose" and "Fireflames" stand out with a tendency towards alternative country with pop influences. The real passage of light piano melodies is now a veil for the second part of the album: by now "It's Too Late," "Laetitia," and "Break The Silence" have already been surpassed and forgotten by "Siddartha." The last three tracks, however, are more electronic than ever: "Hypnosis," "Forever Alone," and "In White Leaves" (the latter a collaboration with looping expert SiNfury) give the impression of being like a final explosion, leaving everything behind and closing in the best way possible this fifth studio effort by The Runner. Here's our interview:

- Hello!

- Hello! Happy to be interviewed!

- Thank you very much for agreeing. I heard that your fifth album will be out in a few days. What do you think about it?

- It was an album that kept us very busy, and we are really proud of it.

- Which is your favorite song?

- "Break The Silence" is probably my favorite. SiNfury helped me a lot (also in making the video with the graphic effects), and I still thank him today.

- A slightly more personal question: is the song "Laetitia" particularly dedicated to someone?

- Yes, to my dear friend Letizia Calabrese, who helps out in The Runner's house whenever she can.

- And what about the meaning of "Forever Alone"?

- It doesn't have a real meaning. The name was suggested to me by Lorenzo...

- How do you think the band's next music will be?

- We are working on a single that will precede the release of the next album. The atmosphere will be relaxed and sometimes stubborn.

- Thank you very much for your availability.

- Thank you... a hug to my fans!
