THE REVIEW

I waited 7 years for this album and what did I get my hands on? Definitely a mediocre work and the weakest series of unreleased tracks they've ever made!

Leeroy left but it doesn't really matter (he was the least important element of the group). Damn, though, how he could dance! 7 years of quarrels. 7 years of indecisions and constant changes.

"Baby's Got A Temper" was canceled because Howlett deemed it too similar to the tracks from "The Fat Of The Land". The very same he who didn't want to repeat the sound of his past again. The most striking thing about this work was the total absence of Maxim and Keith Flint (only present in live performances) and the participation of singer-actress Juliette Lewis, Oasis, Twista, and rapper Princess Superstar.

There's no doubt that the best songs are the ones sung by the ladies: "Spitfire", "Girls", "Memphis Bells" and "Hotride". In fact, it's the first time that almost everything in one of their works is female-driven, but overall it still remains a sort of techno and electroclash jam. The first tracks are good, hitting the listener straight with some excellent pounding rhythms, but in the middle phase of the album, there's a risk of getting bored. Besides the previously mentioned songs, only "Medusa's Path" (intense and hypnotic) and "You'll Be Under My Wheels" (simple and enjoyable) are worth saving in the final phase.

Meanwhile, let's hope for a glorious return!

Summary by Bot

After a 7-year wait, Prodigy's album 'Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned' falls short, delivering a mediocre collection of unreleased tracks. The absence of key members Maxim and Keith Flint is notable, while female vocalists and guest artists stand out. Despite some good opening tracks, the album struggles to maintain interest through to the end. Fans are left hoping for a stronger future release.

"It will not disappoint their fans, even if it seems a bit different from the previous one."

"Instead, it just made me want to dance (after all, that’s what the genre requires)."

An album to listen to with 3-4 great tracks and some others at least interesting and curious: but where are Keith and Maxim?

With britpop dead and grunge eclipsed, it was Keith Flint's terrifying face dominating the charts with the pounding sound of big hits like "Firestarter".
