THE REVIEW

In the flow of a dull and gray Wednesday, to avoid letting another indistinguishable early week day occur, let's see-who's playing tonight, I said to myself; and so I end up reading Poison Arrows, where one of the three arrows is a former Don Caballero and in the album info for this particular record, I glimpse Brian Case* as a guest on two tracks; a pay-what-you-want night, and as many good times, it ended up with beer, only a good thing.

In the end, I have to thank this Newfound Resolutions, the 2010 double LP whose first side did not leave me indifferent; those instruments that play straight, which like parallel lines intersect at infinity often leave a lack of crescendo, and sometimes the tracks covered with reverbs create a sort of gaseous music in which the electronics become heavily noticeable, but everything is always upheld by the remarkable bass frays of the aforementioned don knight.

Unveiled In Sequence, wanders psychedelically while the guitar, in harmony with the title, continuously peeks through;

Interpretive Hunter, is a space-like rock that copulates with math patterns and a vocal style à la sonic youth-exemplary-male;

For Lack of an AK moves a groove that builds castles in space;

Inadmissible Architecture, buildings with slanted floors, occasional scent of small Drive Like Jehu among the tangles of riffs rubble.

As far as I'm concerned and what's left of it for me truly not bad, in the sound it reminded me of classical post-rock, while in how it withdraws to the urban aesthetic electronics; the music intertwines, slides, and pleases in the production, so you never know.
