Christopher George Latore Wallace (May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997) was an American rapper from Brooklyn, New York, known professionally as The Notorious B.I.G. He released Ready to Die (1994) and Life After Death (1997).

Born May 21, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York; died March 9, 1997. Central figure in 1990s East Coast hip hop; member/associated with Junior M.A.F.I.A.; major albums include Ready to Die and Life After Death.

Elio's review (2012) calls Ready To Die a masterpiece of gangsta hip-hop and music in general. He praises Biggie's charisma, rapid flow, storytelling and the album's production, highlights tracks like Juicy, Gimme the Loot and Suicidal Thoughts, and notes one guest appearance by Method Man. The only minor criticism is the album's length.

For:Fans of 1990s hip-hop, music critics and readers interested in classic albums.

I was a bit surprised when I discovered that among the nearly 32,000 reviews written on this site, there isn't even one for this album, which I would undoubtedly define as not only one of the greatestin the history of hip-hop, but of music in general.
