THE REVIEW

There are no words to describe what I believe is and will remain the best album of the year. An album made of 14 songs, each better than the last. A Pop album, you might say it's always the same old stuff. But no, because this is not the classic genre album that you listen to for a couple of hours, sometimes even less, and then throw in the attic or worse, in the trash. This is high-level Pop, music that entertains, that sticks in your head but is never banal in its melodies and lyrics.

The New Pornographers are excellent musicians, and their songs are magnificently accompanied by undeniably talented singers who, even if they don't unleash powerful voices, manage to excite like few others. The album is a mix of folk and rock, with an unspecified number of instruments that seem to find themselves wonderfully. Violin, drums, acoustic and electric guitars with a touch of synth make this album an explosion of happiness that few other albums have managed to convey to me.

I can only tell you to buy it, and you'll see it won't disappoint you!
