THE REVIEW

One day you wake up all happy and head towards your favorite record store, and the world seems identical to the day before. Then you walk in without knowing that from that moment on your conception of music will change: you encounter Tremulant by The Mars Volta.
You buy it almost out of curiosity, even because of the reduced price, rush home and pop it in the player: what just happened?
Who are these guys?
Where does this music come from?

These are genuinely the questions that jumped to my mind the first time I listened to this EP of just three songs, three pearls of rare perfection, a whirlwind of sounds accompanied by exquisite vocal lines, entirely in 3/4 as befits a prog album but at the same time light and penetrating like the best psychedelic compositions.

Three gems of blinding brilliance, which almost make you forget the "the next big thing" At The Drive-In, the previous band of Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala, respectively guitarist and singer.
