The Maccabees were an English five-piece indie rock band from Brighton, formed in 2004. Members include Orlando Weeks, Hugo White, Felix White, Rupert Jarvis and Robert Dylan Thomas.

Debut album Colour It In was released in May 2007. The band were signed to Fiction Records. They toured supporting Bloc Party and had a sold-out show at the Roundhouse in London. "Toothpaste Kisses" was used as soundtrack in a mobile phone commercial. Felix White collaborated with Jack Peñate in Jack's Basement (as mentioned in the review).
