A small compilation that only partially gives recognition to the sound/world of The Legendary Pink Dots. This group originally from London has been operating since the early '80s in the Netherlands, where the leader Edward Ka-Spel or Qa Sepel (yikes...), intoxicated by the Barrett myth and the many dark mysteries that accompany our existence, not without the inevitable sense of humor, immediately began laying the foundations of a chameleon-like, dark, elegiac, obscene, and often useless music.
More than a review, with these few lines, I would like to introduce you, gently... actually no, with a firm stance, to the listening of this strange ensemble without direction, without time with a single peculiarity: it is possible, if not certain, that they are the ones who have recorded official works like no one else in the history of modern music.

This might not be enough, sure, but it should spark some curiosity. I leave the ball to you with some LPD musical links: Barrett and various psychedelia, avant rock in the style of Can, Faust etc. Darmstadt school, dark wave, intellectual electro pop like J. Foxx or Eno, VDGG's space nightmares, some Roxy Music decadence, noise-making, late '60s acid folk, dadaism as the very first Soft Machine liked, various free-form and non-sense, if we want Mittel-European cabaret style and... and then the show goes on.

If I've piqued your curiosity, I'm happy; I repeat: this is not a review, but an incited curiosity offered for free.
