Is it possible to send a political message with instrumental songs?
Key Movement does it: surf punk played at the speed of light with electronic inserts thrown in and slammed in the listener's face without any frills.

The guitar has a decidedly "classic" surf sound - no distortion, lots of reverb; the bass is dirty and scratched like in an "old school" HC band and the drummer hits with pleasure while throwing in some "jungle" beats here and there.

This CD is a self-produced demo of 4 songs.
1 - "Liber.. action" is a surf gem: descending guitar scales that would be the perfect soundtrack for a spy movie played by people with mohawk crests.
2 - "S.U.B.V.E.R.T." is a powerful track with a chorus that DEVO would have shouted after a round of bongos.
3 - "Mr Bush Is A Crime" with "dramatic" chords alternates arpeggios with stop-and-go killers.
4 - "Parents" is the only sung song on the CD: it starts with "rock 'n' roll" pentatonic riffs and then turns into a sweet and sour emo-punk ballad à la SAD I WAS.

Short but intense, I must say, and well recorded.
You could mention Man Or Astro-Man? and The (International) Noise Conspiracy to somehow come close to their imagery.

A "modern" rock 'n' roll band.
