THE REVIEW

A good reviewer should be objective and not get too carried away by emotion, they should describe an album track by track, encourage the reader to listen to the CD. Well, in this case, forgive me, but I will make an exception to the rule because I just can't manage to review an album of this caliber in that way.

Year: 2000, Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania, USA. Here, emocore reaches its highest peak ever achieved, even in the years to come, by an emo band. Imagine having no thoughts in your head, completely losing touch with reality, letting yourself go, and only then will you be able to fully appreciate the greatness of this album, where a voice, Brett Detar's voice, will get inside you, perfectly fitting punchy tracks like "To The Tune Of 5,000 Screaming Children", or tracks completely different, like "Something Isn't Right Here" and "We're At The Top Of The World". Of course, there are also those unforgettable tracks like "Into The Dark", the first track of the album, and "Is Patience Still Waiting?".

The instrumental "Emotion Is Dead pt.1" is also very beautiful. In my opinion, however, the most beautiful song on the album and one of the most beautiful in the emocore domain, is "You Always Say Goodnight, Goodnight", a heart-wrenching nine-minute ballad, an unforgettable track that will never tire you, even after repeated listens. Not to mention the lyrics, we are in the emo realm, so it stands to reason that the lyrics are oriented towards unrequited loves, broken hearts, and much more....

It is a beautiful album, made with heart and mind, with passion and determination.. it’s difficult to review such an album, it's an infinite concentrate of emotions, indescribable in words. The only thing I hope is that someone here has heard it and can give me their opinion on it... the only advice I can give you is to get the CD, and after the first listen, you will already have fallen in love with it!
