If someone had told me that bees and hornets make music, I would never have believed it! I was stuck with cockroaches, but here we're talking about a whole different story. These four guys from Solofra (AV) have an average age of 22, but they hit like they're 30! I listened to their EP Caos melodico on YouTube, and I must say it's a fairly decent piece of work. The new drummer has added more emphasis to the band, the drumming is clean yet aggressive, making you say, " Hey, we're here, we're not just four kids trying to imitate the Velvet" (A shout-out to this wonderful band!! :) 24 ore is the classic opening track, gritty, fast, and lacking a chorus, hidden by the delightful guitar riff, which remains prominent throughout the EP, the drumming is energetic, the bass line is there, although for the hornets' genre a darker voice, more like IAN CURTIS would be fitting, but we certainly don't complain about the frontman's echoes. Verita scomoda has a delightful intro, the guitar reminisces of the old CRIS (Editors) and the others fit in greatly as the track progresses. The discordant note is the chorus, a bit too repetitive, a bit too dull, a bit too confusing. Eroi is a remarkable business card, quite raw as a track but unlike others here, we don't find any writing errors, the track is sung with feeling while the other instruments maintain a simple level, yet it brings the piece to stand out in the end. Sognare di più is the proverbial cherry on top, there's absolutely nothing to say about this track, simply perfect!!! If the Hornet's were to make an album in the future, all the foundations are concentrated in this song. Also good is Visioni nobili overwhelmed by an unusual organ that remains nostalgic, parallel to the other tracks. We will surely hear more about these flying hornets, I hope that over time you will start to sting more often!
