The Gris Gris are an American psychedelic rock group led by Greg Ashley. Their sound merges 60s Texan psych lineage with voodoo/Creole hues, garage abrasion, folk detours, and noise. After their studio statements, a feral live document—Live At The Creamery—was recorded in Oakland in 2008, reading like a swan song.

Led by Greg Ashley (from Austin, Texas). Strong ties to the 13th Floor Elevators and early Pink Floyd aesthetics; voodoo/Creole and swamp blues overtones linked to Dr. John (whose name inspired the band’s).
