THE REVIEW

As promised, here are the Gerogerigegege: a mysterious project that can be classified as Noise, born in Japan (strange, right?) in 1985, from the mind of Juntaro Yamanouchi.

They are notorious mainly due to the peculiarity of their performances: on stage, as an integral part of the collective (!), also appeared Gero 30, a homosexual exhibitionist whose role was to masturbate, often with the help of a vacuum cleaner, and pant into the microphone. A kind of Bez (Happy Mondays) of the group.

After piquing your curiosity and/or disgust, here is "Senzuri Champion," the first LP released in 1987, which I recommend you google the translation of.

I admit I expected them to be a bit different.

The album features 7 tracks that flow for about half an hour and are so different from each other that the listening experience doesn't bore. It's enjoyable Noise, with short tracks often spiced up by a surprisingly Punk drum & colorful feedback, and more substantial tracks that are decidedly more violent and aggressive... occasionally, expect to hear Gero 30's panting too!

This album is approved by Masami Akita, known to friends as Merzbow. I'm not joking.
