A few days ago, I wrote a review (my first) for the album "Grace" by J.B., and I received 9/10 teasing comments from some super-music experts. Forgive me, I thought it would be a pleasure to write here, not a second job...

Let's get to the point; the legendary "Gang," a rock group from the Marche region, as famous in my homeland as they are little known outside of it. In this now-dated work (1997), the amazing brothers Marino and Sandro Severini are always there, accompanied by a long list of collaborators (including Giovanni, Massimo, Franco, Alberto, and Cisco from the Modena City Ramblers..); the first two tracks "Muoviti" and "Fuori dal Controllo" already set the tone for the overall work, intense, sincere, and quite engaging. It would be a lie to claim their extreme originality, but I would like to highlight how their songs are instantly catchy, as effective as they are simply valid.

The political orientation is evident, and songs like "Comandante", "Il Bandito Trovarelli", "Chi Ha Ucciso Ilaria Alpi?" are proof of this, but it is the music that interests us, right? Even the fastest and hardest tracks of the album still follow a well-defined path, the melody never fails, and the acoustic guitar appears very often, perhaps a bit too much. Listening to the album is necessary even just for the splendid "Colpevole Di Ghetto", where almost at the end, (that is, it is heard, not interactive to that extent) the magnificent reading of Tom Robbins appears.

For those who love good Italian rock, and this is perhaps one of the main "constraints"; in any case, one thing is absolutely unexplained:
"Why the Modena City Ramblers yes and the Gang no?"
I'm talking about the success achieved, certainly well below what the two brothers from the Marche region have demonstrated over the years. Goodbye, everyone.
