We don't know how much is planned and how much is random, but opening an album with the lines "It's time to wake up, it's time to change" is a clear signal of awareness. The Futureheads felt the need for a change of direction after their first two albums and implemented this need with a muscular enhancement of melodies, and especially the guitar riffs, more prominent than in the past. The broken rhythms and three-part vocal harmonies remain, but here they flaunt the confidence of those who aren't afraid of getting hurt if they fall. After all, the guys grew up on bread and punk. And tracks like "Think Tonight" and the title track represent something more than an attempt at emulation. Unlike bands that tend to soften album after album, they hold firm.

A strength: powerful riffs, gritty vocals, punk sound, all blended with fun lyrics
A weakness: the fact that there are no "alternative" songs or any that conflict with the usual structure of the Futureheads' songs certainly limits the band's potential
