THE REVIEW

The misfortune of Theseus was to find himself in a rational, geometric labyrinth, as intricate as you like, yet always designed by the human mind.

In short, we're talking about Theseus: a character anointed by the Gods, perhaps even the child of Poseidon! And what does he do? He kills the Minotaur and then, like a good little soldier, follows the thread back, content with the love of any Ariadne (by the way, quickly abandoned on the island of Naxos).

If only the labyrinth had been an ecosystem grown spontaneously and shaped by the divine Chaos! Forget the caresses of a maiden! I am sure Our Hero would have much preferred the orgy of synesthesia offered by the most persuasive maîtresse of all: untouched nature.

It is with this spirit that we - new Theseus - must take advantage of the graces of "Lifeforms". Of course, not before having killed that infamous Minotaur represented by our inhibitions.

We must let ourselves go.

A fragrant, colorful, at times oily sound. An IDM with a tropical scent that splashes and contorts in psychedelic pools with blurred edges.

An ambient music with warm and noisy colors that unravels its coils following unexpected paths. Cuts of heavy silk marbled by glitch intermittences, bucolic samples, and lines of flute.

Tracks like organic compounds that evolve slowly and pour into the next, leaving residual traces of their humus. A fluidity of movement that from a sick downtempo or a frothy tribalism can spill into the realms of the most subdued Aphex Twin or the most chic Popol Vuh, diluted in exotic cocktails: a kaleidoscopic and intoxicating taste for contamination.

A rounded odor that declines to ocher yellow, mossy green, and rust color. A smell of electronic undergrowth from which unexpected instrumental breaks sometimes burst, reaching the nostrils in all their savoriness and turning the mood in a change of perspective worthy of Gogol's best pages.

An album that alternates fragrant caresses and acrid pulls, melodious pinches, and emerald kisses, tickles with the scent of papaya and scratches with the taste of mango.

A journey to the end of electronics, a labyrinth for all those new Theseus who have just killed the Minotaur.

And who don’t care about the Ariadne of the moment.
