The Flying Luttenbachers, as you well know, are musical terrorists led by that criminal Walter Weasel, who made a name for themselves with those two impactful masterpieces, "Destroy All Music" and "Revenge". But "our" band reaches the apex of genius with this suite divided into six movements, a triumph of noise with the apocalyptic name of "Gods Of Chaos".

"Gods Of Chaos" is one of those albums you won't forget, my dear, here the line between music and noise is very thin and sometimes the sound rises to unbearable levels of intensity even for ears most accustomed to "extreme sounds." There are guitar riffs, dizzying, that seem to wander without a clear destination and that rise annoyingly, assaulting your eardrums; a drum that sweeps away everything, with Weasel pounding like a blacksmith on the skins (or anvils?) and noises that are hardly musical and disrupt the whole. It shifts from simple dissonances to sudden tempo changes, shrill and annoying sounds and to blasts of insane and crazy chaos supported by the unstoppable drumming of Weasel, that depraved.

All this always in that free jazz style that distinguishes our band, as well as that sense of very subtle irony that transpires from the compositions. This does not change the fact that the uproar contained in this CD is something absolutely devastating and requires repeated listens. Unfortunately, this will be the last "real" masterpiece for the Flying Luttenbachers, who will nonetheless continue with some well-crafted CDs. This album in one word?

INSANE.
