The Electric Flag was formed by Mike Bloomfield and Barry Goldberg in the spring of 1967 with the intention of creating an "All American Music Band," a group whose style included all the fundamental genres of American music.

In the summer, the band debuted at the "Monterey Pop Festival." In concert, their success was immediate: Electric Flag was a powerful machine capable of navigating different musical territories, highlighting the various personalities of the group. Among the first to notice the band was Peter Fonda, who involved them in the soundtrack for The Trip ("Il Serpente di Fuoco"), a film by Roger Corman in which he starred.

With the support of excellent songwriters and high individual technical skills, Electric Flag released in 1968 "A Long Time Comin'," a mix of R&R, electric blues, Stax-style R&B, and pop/rock with psychedelic detours. Throughout the CD, the cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor", "Groovin' is Easy", and the beautiful "You Don't Realize" shine. Soon the band became orphaned of Bloomfield, stressed by too many commitments and the continuous conflict with Buddy Miles, who tended to transform concerts into spectacular shows that were not well-liked by the guitarist, and it was never the same again.

This album is a REVELATION and a PLEASURE FOR THE EARS. Enjoy listening......
